SUBJECT: Recommendation to Invest in GoLite Company

You’ve given me the task of finding a socially responsible, environmentally friendly, and profitable company for AMDP to invest in. After researching hundreds of companies, I found GoLite, a company that creates and develops environmentally friendly athletic clothing. I highly recommend investing in AMDP because they are a company that was established on the foundation of environmental consciousness, which allows them to seamlessly fit in with the principles of AMDP.

Before going in-depth about GoLite, I’d like to reiterate the criteria we use when considering an investment.

AMDP Standards

Triple Bottom Line

The Triple Bottom Line is used by businesses to measure companies in three ways, commonly called the three P’s:

·      People: These are the ways in which the company affects social needs such as quality of life, health, and well-being.

·      Planet: This measure is used by companies to evaluate environmental performance and transparency.

·      Profit: This tool allows companies to evaluate and measure the flow of money within businesses.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility ensures that companies behave in a manner that is ethical when it comes to their social, economic, and environmental impacts.

Social Enterprise

Companies use social enterprise to meet the needs of the greater community through their role in the market. Ultimately, it allows companies to give back through their businesses and create social or environmental change.

Carbon Footprint

A carbon footprint is the carbon output associated with a person or a business through their activities. It includes carbon emitted from direct combustion sources such as cooking a steak on a gas stove or an indirect source such as the processes used to get the steak to the gas stove. It is a direct measure of greenhouse gas emissions pertaining to a specific person or business.
